The Beginning

Hmmm...how do I start? Recently, my husband and I found ourselves at University of Colorado Hospital's seventh floor. Seventh floor = neuro stuff. Over the past two years, my husband's epilepsy has started infringing on life. Memory issues, anxiety and more seizures have occupied our time and thoughts instead of powder days, nights out and epic mountain bike rides. Bummer, right?! Time to do something about that, so we switched neurologists and thus found ourselves in UCH.

Twenty-six electrodes, five seizures, four days and an MRI later, we left UCH. Hopefully now, my husband's physician and her team have plenty of information. Data that will tell us whether we should even consider brain surgery or not for his drug-resistant epilepsy. Here we go...
